If you have ancillary optical cover, your health fund will contribute for spectacles, prescription sunglasses or contact lenses. Your annual limit is determined by your health fund. We do offer NO GAP reading glasses with all health funds.
Yes. On the first visit, no dialating drops are used. If the optometrist needs to blur your vision they will arrange for a more convenient time for you to have the special test.
Our qualified optometrists check the health of your eyes as well as the need for spectacles. Only you will decide if you get the spectacles or not.
Single vision spectacles take an average of 1.5 weeks, and multifocals take 2.5 weeks. Express service is available on request (fees apply).

Yes. We offer bulk-billed eye examinations for all consultations that are claimable from Medicare. Retinal Imaging is optional and attracts a $40 fee that is non-claimable. Some contact lens consultations are also not covered.
No. A contact lens prescription requires a contact lens fitting, and is almost always different to your spectacle prescription.
On Saturday The Galeries is open 10am-5pm, and QVB is open 9am to 6pm.
On Sunday The Galeries is open 11am to 4pm, and QVB is open 11am to 5pm.
Chifley Plaza is closed both Saturday and Sunday.
An appointment is encouraged so that you can be seen at a time most suited for you, however, you are always welcome to come in without an appointment.
